Ein neues Buch, eine neue Geschichte – und ein frischer künstlerischer Stil. Die liebevoll gezeichneten Illustrationen stammen diesmal von Judith Hamouda, deren Bildsprache der Geschichte eine ganz eigene Poesie verleiht.
Da ich bereits das Editorial Design mehrerer Bücher für den Torleyunicorn Verlag übernommen hatte, wurde mir auch hier erneut das Vertrauen geschenkt, das gesamte Grafik- und Buchdesign zu gestalten. Doch dieses Projekt brachte eine kleine kreative Herausforderung mit sich: Nicht jedes Kapitel verfügte über eigenes Bildmaterial. Also begann ich, mit feinem Gespür und viel Liebe zum Detail, kleine Elemente und Fragmente aus den bestehenden Illustrationen zu nehmen und sie neu zu interpretieren. So entstanden visuelle Übergänge, rhythmische Akzente und harmonische Kompositionen, die jedes Kapitel miteinander verbinden.
Ein zentrales Element dieses Buches wurde die Typografie – sie trägt den Text, lenkt den Blick und schafft eine Lesefreude, die fast spielerisch wirkt. Schrift und Bild gehen hier Hand in Hand und erzählen gemeinsam die Geschichte weiter. Die Verbindung von Illustration und Typografie, von Struktur und Emotion, machte dieses Buch zu etwas Besonderem – zu einem echten Hingucker, der zeigt, wie viel Gestaltung in einer Geschichte stecken kann.

A new book, a new story — and a fresh artistic style. The beautifully drawn illustrations were created by Judith Hamouda, whose visual language brings a gentle poetry to the story.
Having already designed the editorial layouts for several books by Torleyunicorn Verlag, I was once again entrusted with the graphic and book design for this project. But this time, there was a unique creative challenge: not every chapter came with its own illustrations. So I decided to weave magic through design — carefully extracting small details and elements from the existing artwork and reworking them into new compositions. These visual fragments became subtle accents that guided the reader through each chapter, creating rhythm, harmony, and flow.
One of the defining features of this book is its typography. It leads the eye across the page, adds character to every sentence, and makes reading a joy in itself. Together, the illustrations and typography form a perfect balance — where words and visuals merge to tell the story as one. The combination of artistic imagery and thoughtful design turned this book into something truly special — a visual experience that reminds us how much storytelling lives within design itself.

Un nuevo libro, una nueva historia… y un estilo artístico renovado. Las hermosas ilustraciones fueron creadas por Judith Hamouda, cuya sensibilidad visual aporta una poesía única a la narración.
Después de haber trabajado en el diseño editorial de varios libros para Torleyunicorn Verlag, la editorial volvió a confiar en mí para encargarme del diseño gráfico y la maquetación de esta obra. Sin embargo, este proyecto presentó un desafío creativo especial: no todos los capítulos contaban con sus propias ilustraciones. Por eso decidí aplicar un poco de “magia” desde el diseño — tomando pequeños fragmentos y detalles de las ilustraciones existentes y transformándolos en nuevas composiciones. Estos elementos visuales se convirtieron en delicados acentos que acompañan al lector a través de cada capítulo, aportando ritmo, armonía y coherencia visual.
Uno de los aspectos más destacados de este libro es su tipografía. Guía la mirada, da personalidad a cada línea y convierte la lectura en una experiencia agradable. En conjunto, las ilustraciones y la tipografía se equilibran perfectamente, fusionando palabra e imagen para continuar la historia de manera visual. La unión entre arte y diseño convirtió este libro en algo realmente especial — una experiencia visual que demuestra cuánta narrativa puede habitar dentro del diseño.
